Bajaj Auto
Bajaj Auto (BAL), the flagship of the Bajaj group, manufactures and markets Bajaj scooters, motorcycles, three-wheelers and spare parts. Incorporated in 1945 as a private limited company, it went public in 1960. In 1974-75, it co-promoted a joint-sector company, Maharashtra Scooters. A plant was set up at Satara and production of Priya scooters commenced in 1976.
In 1983-84, the company signed a technical know-how agreement with Vigel, Italy, to manufacture special-purpose machine tools. In 1989-90, it entered into a technical collaboration with Orbital Engine Company, Australia, to develop fuel injection systems for 150-cc scooters. In 1990-91, production of 4-stroke motorcycles in collaboration with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Japan, was started at Waluj.

TVS Motor Company
TVS Motor Company Limited, part of the TVS Group, is one of India's leading two-wheeler manufacturers. With a turnover of over Rs.2700 crores, the Company manufactures a wide range of motorcycles, scooters, mopeds and scooterettes. Little wonder, it boasts of more than 7 million happy customers.
